Signature opens satellite station at Berlin Tegel Airport adding a second facility to serve passengers transiting the city of Berlin

Signature Flight Support will soon serve the city of Berlin, Germany from two airports with the opening of a satellite station at Berlin Tegel (TXL). Services commence at the Tegel satellite facility on May 1, 2013.
Signature currently operates a fixed base operation (FBO) at Berlin Schoenefeld Airport (SXF). As the closest airport to the city center of Berlin, Tegel is a popular destination for business travelers. Signature’s other operations in Germany currently include facilities in Frankfurt and Munich.
“We are very pleased to be able to extend to Signature customers the option of choosing another Signature FBO when visiting the city of Berlin,” said Peter Bouwer, EMEA Director of Operations for Signature. “The business clients at Tegel are primarily involved with the larger international manufacturing companies in the area, but we believe the leisure traveler will also follow suit in using the Signature facilities of this convenient airport. Signature is looking forward to expanding the customer base of air travelers transiting the city of Berlin, and introducing new customers to the services Signature will provide at Tegel.”
“Signature expects also to make a commitment to the growth of future comprehensive aviation services in Berlin, and is honored to have this opportunity to begin now to invest in new service offerings to business and general aviation travelers to the area,” said Pat Pearse, Managing Director of parent company, BBA Aviation’s Flight Support division which manages Signature Flight Support and Aircraft Service International Group (ASIG).
