BBA Aviation plc and its subsidiaries (collectively “BBA” or “we” or “us”) are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This policy (together with our terms of website use and any other documents referred to in them) sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. This privacy policy applies to the BBA company websites set out at the end of this notice, (each a “Website” and together the “Websites”) and does not apply to any personal data collected outside any of the Websites listed below. The company responsible for the collection and processing of your personal data collected through each Website is also identified in the “Websites” section below.
By using any Website, you are providing your consent to the use of the information about yourself that you provide to us in accordance with this privacy policy. We may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. In the event we make any material changes to this policy, we will alert you to the fact that the policy has changed, typically through highlighting the policy on the Website. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. Our privacy practices are consistent with the European Union Data Protection Directive.
We have structured our Websites so that you can visit them without identifying yourself or revealing any personal information. If you choose to provide us with any information by which you can be identified you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.
Information we may collect from you
In general, you can use our Websites without giving us any personal information. However, additional services may be available to you if you provide us with personal information about you. Where you request such services, or choose to contact us through a Website or our social media accounts (eg Facebook, Twitter, You Tube, Google Plus), we may collect and process the following information about you:
- Information that you provide directly to us by filling in forms on the Websites or contacting us (for example in order to receive printed corporate and information materials and e-mail alerts). Such information includes your name, job title, company (and jurisdiction), telephone number, fax number and email address;
- If you request a quote for goods or services using the ‘Request a Quote’ feature available on some of the Websites, we will ask you to provide your name, job title, company (and jurisdiction), telephone number, fax number and email address. This information will be passed on to our sales team who will contact you in relation to your query;
- We may also ask you to provide us with information regarding your personal or professional interests, demographics, experiences with our products and contact preferences for research purposes in order to provide you with further correspondence about our products and services. However, you do not have to respond to these surveys and should you choose to receive such details from us, you may withdraw your consent at any time;
- If you wish to apply for a job vacancy advertised on one of the Websites we will ask you to register before submitting your application. We will ask you to provide information including your name and address, contact information including your telephone number and e-mail address and applicant registration/account details, including your chosen password/log-in. If your application is not successful we will delete all registration/account information we hold about you except application details which we are lawfully permitted to retain in accordance with applicable local law. Please note, if you apply for a job vacancy which is based outside of your home jurisdiction we may transfer the personal data that you have submitted to BBA outside your home jurisdiction, which may be outside the European Economic Area. Your personal data will only be transferred for the administration of your application by your proposed new employer;
- In order to use our ‘Aircraft on the Ground’ or our ‘Fuel Management Program WebFMS’ feature (available on some of the Websites only) you will need to register with us. You will need to provide your name, company and e-mail address in order to register for this service; and
- Details of your visits to our site. Some pages of our Websites use cookies and other technologies to collect information about your general internet usage when you visit our Websites or use our services. See the section ‘How we use cookies’ below to learn more.
What do we do with the information we gather?
Where you choose to provide such information, we and (where we share with third parties, as set out in more detail below) our affiliates collect, retain and otherwise process this information for the following reasons:
- To ensure that content from our site is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer;
- To better understand your preferences and to provide you with a better quality of service;
- To provide you with information, e-mail alerts, products or services that you request from us and which are described on our Websites; and

If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please write or email as soon as possible to the above addresses. We will correct any information which is found to be incorrect promptly.
Children
The Websites covered by this policy are intended for a general audience and are neither intended for children under the age of 13 nor do they contain content typically of interest to children. Nonetheless, if we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under the age of 13, we will promptly delete that data entirely. We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
Whilst we will take all reasonable steps to protect your personal information we cannot guarantee the security of any personal information you disclose online.
