Signature Flight Support signs agreement to acquire Metro Flight Services at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (KDTW)
Signature Flight Support, a BBA Aviation company, announced today that it has signed an agreement to acquire the FBO assets of AFCO/Quantem FBO Services DTW, LLC d/b/a/ Metro Flight Services at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (KDTW). Metro Flight Services provides fueling, ground handling and FBO services to commercial airlines and business and general aviation operators.
Historically, Signature’s sister company, Aircraft Service International Group (ASIG), has provided FBO, fueling and ground handling services for business and general aviation in addition to its commercial fueling and handling at the airport. Post-acquisition, Signature will provide all FBO services and ASIG will continue to provide commercial fueling and ground handling services at DTW.
Signature will renovate one of the executive terminals that was part of Metro Flight Services’ leasehold. In the interim, FBO services will be provided at ASIG’s current FBO location.

Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (KDTW) is one of the busiest airports in the United States and among the world’s largest air transportation hubs. DTW is a major base of operations for 14 passenger airlines including four foreign flag carriers.
